The 2022 Audi A4 is full of technologies engineered to ensure your safety in every driving scenario. Here is a closer look at three of them:
Quattro all-wheel drive
Every 2022 Audi A4 is equipped with the competent Quattro AWD system that built Audi’s reputation in rallying and adverse weather driving. The system can send power to all four wheels individually as needed in order to increase the vehicle’s capabilities, safety and performance, depending on the road surface and your driving style. As soon as slippage is detected, the appropriate wheels receive more power in order to keep the momentum and the trajectory of the A4, despite the sudden change in road conditions.
Audi Presense
Standard on the 2022 Audi A4, the Presense system can detect an imminent collision and react very quickly in order to protect the occupants as best as possible. For example, the Presense rear system monitors the area behind the vehicle to spot any risks of collision. If it detects that another car is about to hit the rear of the A4, Presense tightens the seat belts, readjusts the seats, the headrests and the side bolsters in order to keep the occupants firmly in place during the collision. In addition, the side windows and the sunroof begin to close in order to stop debris from entering the cabin and potentially hurting the passengers. This system also works in forward collisions at city driving speeds.
Active Lane Assist
Available on the 2022 Audi A4, the Active Lane Assist system makes sure the car stays in its own lane by monitoring up to 50 meters of road markings ahead to determine if the wheels are about to cross over into the adjacent lane. If a lane departure is detected, a chime will sound and the system will nudge the steering to bring the A4 back in the correct lane quickly and efficiently in order to prevent a head-on collision or a loss of control.
