The Audi Q4 e-Tron is the latest model to join the Audi lineup in Canada and it is a very promising electric SUV.
The technologies
The Audi Q4 e-Tron is packed with all of the technologies buyers might want in their new electric vehicle. Those include the configurable 10.25-inch Virtual Cockpit instrument cluster which provides the driver with all the information they may need, as well as the 10,1-inch center touchscreen. In addition, the three-zone automatic climate control is standard, so is the lane keeping assistance and the predictive pedestrian detection.
The mechanical aspects of the Q4 e-Tron are also new and they are impressive. Indeed, the battery pack is a large 82 kWh, of which 76.6 kWh are useable and the front and rear axle each feature their own motor. New technologies have also been employed in the recharge department, which means that the battery can be charged from 5% to 80% in just 38 minutes when using a fast-charging station. This ability to better control all-four wheels combined with the fact that both the font and the rear motors are always working in tandem mean that the famous Quattro all-wheel drive system name can be applied to this model.
The Sportback
As with most other Audi SUVs, the regular SUVs are supplemented with a Sportback version that is a more dynamic and stylish version of the same vehicle. The Q4 e-Tron Sportback features a steeply raked rear window that gives it a coupe-like appearance that looks sportier and more distinctive than the regular model.
Despite being quite different in terms of looks, the Q4 e-tron and the Q4 e-Tron Sportback are the same vehicles underneath, so they both have a range of 388 kilometers and a power output of 295 horsepower. Inside, the roof of the Q4 e-Tron Sportback is obviously lower than the one from the regular version, but the rest of the interior is identical between both models.
