
The 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron is the top model in Audi’s electric SUV portfolio and boasts high luxury-class comfort, outstanding everyday utility, and sporty driving performance. The Audi Q8 e-tron is available in two body versions, including the classic SUV or the sportback with coupé lines. The following is a deep-dive into what makes the Q8 e-tron tick.
The exterior design of the Q8 e-tron features an optimized aerodynamic concept that reduces drag and increases efficiency. It has a new front design with a Singleframe mask and inverted grille insert, a new corporate identity with flatter, two-dimensional Audi rings at the front and rear, and a model name badge on the B-pillar. Wheel sizes range from 19 to 22 inches, and all new designs.
The Q8 e-tron also boasts advanced headlights and lighting, including horizontal light signature integrated into the headlights, a wide illuminated band in the rear, digital Matrix LED headlights that enable even more precise lighting functions, and three new features: advanced traffic information, orientation light on country roads, and lane light with direction indicator.
Inside, the Q8 e-tron has ample space for up to five passengers and extensive comfort features, including available ventilation and massage seats, air quality package, contour and ambient light package, and more. The interior design is minimalist with a circumspect wrap-around cockpit with MMI touch response display, new decorative inlays with sustainable technical fabric, and dinamica microfiber sports seats.
The Q8 e-tron’s operation and displays are impressive, featuring the MMI touch response display with 8.6 and 10.1-inch diagonal with haptic feedback, natural voice control with on-board and cloud search, Amazon Alexa voice assistant, and more. The Audi virtual cockpit is standard, while there’s also an optional head-up display.
The electric all-wheel drive of the Q8 e-tron has one asynchronous machine each on the front and rear axle. Combined output of the Q8 e-tron is 402 HP in boost mode and 355 HP in the regular version, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds. The top speed of this electric SUV is limited to 200 km/h.
The Q8 e-tron features a 396V lithium-ion battery with a storage capacity of up to 114 kWh, allowing for a range of up to approximately 459 km. DC charging is standard with up to 170 kW power and recharging from 10–80% in about 31 minutes. The Q8 e-tron’s braking recuperation system is advanced and can be set in several stages, thanks to its integrated brake control system.
Advanced assistance systems and digital services are also available on the Q8 e-tron. They include Audi pre-sense safety systems as standard, optional city, tour, and park packages, including with remote park assist plus. Also, there’s the e-tron route planner as standard for navigation and charge planning.
